Ward was born in MonroeLouisiana on 14 April1976. Ward went to Monroe Christian School, a Christian private elementary school. She was a student at Ouachita High School for her secondary studies. But, she transferred to River Oaks High School after the summer. A short time after her graduation she attended Northeast Louisiana University. Ward started modeling when she was thirteen. She left school to go into New York. A few years afterward, she also decided to try acting. Her first role was uncredited in 1970s in the soap-opera All My Children. Later she was cast on the NBC's prime-time drama for teens, Malibu Shores. Ward got her first lead performance on the Sunset Beach daytime soap opera in which she played female virgin Meg Cummings. In 1999, she began a film career, starring in The In Crowd as psychotic Brittany Foster. The film was a commercial disappointment in theatres, but it did find some success on cable and home-video. Ward played a part in Shallow Hal in the year following, in which she performed a role of support. Ward also was a guest on numerous TV shows as well as direct-to-DVD movies. In 2009she got the part of Chloe Kmet, the mother to a young girl in the ABC Family drama Make It or Break It. She also had a personal life. married director David C. Robinson and was blessed with a son named Cameron with him.
